12x12x12 lessons

Stock up on Wonder Under when 1/2 price at Joann's

Set up 2 sewing machines so can go between free motion and sewing/piecing ;) if you have at least 2 machines why not. Please don't take this as an endorsement of overmachination. I'm down to 3 machines from a high of 5, not counting my serger and my needlefelting machine -if count those and I am back to 5 and if you count the treadle it's six, but who is counting?

Habits! Good or bad habits come from doing, not from thinking.

When no ideas strike, I should flip thru my journals and sketchbooks

What I learned about myself

I don't enjoy following a pattern, but sometimes patterns are useful as guidance. Other times following a pattern is a good way to learn a new technique

I can be fearless or I can overthink something. Often my fearless gut reactions are better than my overthunk analysis paralysis.

If I want to create in a short amount of time I need to rely on fast technique (zigzagged edges rather than facings), i need to invest in fusibles (I can't believe I killed my bolt of wonderunder!) and I need to deny my inner perfectionist.
