INVITATION TO FREE QUILT EXHIBIT RECEPTION - "All interested quilters are invited to join Artistic Artifacts at a complimentary reception celebrating the opening of its "Arts & Old Lace" quilt challenge, organized by Cyndi Souder and Judy Gula.
The reception takes place Saturday, July 21, 2012, from 2 - 8 PM at Artistic Artifacts, 4750 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22304.
More than eighty 18" x 18" quilts will be on display, inspired by the individual quilt artist's interpretation of the theme and using a challenge packet containing lace, fabric and trims and more. The challenge packets issued were equivalent, but not identical, and while quilters were encouraged to use the materials, it was not required. If you cannot make the reception, the exhibit also will be available for viewing during regular shop hours until September 30, 2012.
